Peter S.H. Chan, MD, FAAOS

A native of New Jersey, Dr. Chan completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded the F. William Bora, M.D. Award for Excellence in Upper Extremity Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery under the direction of David P. Green, M.D., a world authority on surgery of the hand.

Dr. Chan is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.

He has authored numerous articles in the orthopaedic literature, including The Journal of Hand Surgery, and actively lectures on subjects relating to surgery and rehabilitation of the hand, wrist and elbow. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and The New York Society for Surgery of the Hand.

He maintains hospital privileges at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Hospital, St Clare's Hospital, Somerset Medical Center and St. Barnabas Medical Center.

Dr. Chan has been named a 'Top Doctor' for five consecutive years by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and recently received Castle Connolly's prestigious 'America's Top Doctors 2016' award.
